Your identity in Christ: Galatians 6

Galatians 6:1-18

Suggested usage:

1. Allow the anointing of the author’s revelation to saturate your soul as read these identity truths.
2. Turn each truth into a personal identity statement by changing “You” to “I”.
3. Identify which truths affect you more when you read it.
4. Write one of the truths that penetrate your heart the most on your bathroom mirror so you can see it everyday and declare it about yourself using both “you” and “I” statements.

 


 

v1
The Spirit of God enables you to restore those who have missed the mark regarding their true identity in Christ.
Since you live by the Spirit, you are called to gently restore to true identity (not wreck) those caught in a sin-trap, which has derailed them from their true identity.
You have the power to keep yourself from being tempted, while seeking to restore another to their true identity in Christ.

v2
You have the power to help restore other’s when they fall.
When you help restore others in Christ, you are fulfilling the law of Christ.

v3
You have the ability to see yourself clearly in Christ.
You can be honest with yourself.

v4-5
You have work to do from the Lord and can examine your own work.
Make sure you discern your work form someone else’s work in the Lord.
You have your own workload to accomplish.

v6
When you are taught the word, you have something to share.

v7
You have a God who cannot be fooled.
You will reap what you sow.

v8
It’s your decision where you sow, to the flesh or to the Spirit.
You are able to sow to the Spirit.
When you sow to the Spirit, you reap eternal life from the Spirit.

v9
You can strengthen the resolve of your hear to do good.
You will reap in due time if you do not grow weary.

v10
You can do good to all people, especially those in the family of faith.

v12-13
You may be persecuted by those caught in legalistic ways.

v14
Let you boasting be in the cross of Christ.

v15
You are a new creation in Christ.

v16
You have access to peace and mercy as a new creation in Christ.

v18
The grace of God is with your spirit.
