1 Peter 2:1-25
Suggested use:
- Allow the anointing of the author’s revelation to saturate your soul as read these truths about your identity in Christ.
- Identify which truth(s) you resonate with more as you read through these statements of truth.
- Practice reading both silently and out loud depending on what you feel your soul needs at this time.
- Write one of the truths that penetrate your heart the most on your bathroom mirror so you can see it everyday and declare it about yourself using both “you” and “I” statements.

You have been given power to get rid of all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander.

You have the freedom and choice to “long for the pure milk of the word”
Your growth into your salvation is in proportion to your decision to “long for the pure milk of the word”.

You have experienced the kindness of the Lord in your life.

You have the power and choice to keep yourself in relationship with Jesus.
You, as you decide to come to him, are a living stone.
You , as you come to him are being built up as a spiritual house.
You are a spiritual house.
You are a holy priesthood.

You, believer in Jesus, you will not be disappointed.

You, believer in Jesus, have aligned your values to God’s in your agreement that Jesus is choice and precious.

You are a chosen race.
You are a royal priesthood.
Your are a holy nation.
You are a people for God’s own possession.

At one time, you were not a people, but now you are a part of THE people of God
You are a person who has received the mercy of God.

You are a stranger and alien in this world, among those who do not yet know God.
You are empowered to say “No” to the lusts of the flesh that are fighting for your soul.
v12
You are empowered to “keep your behavior excellent” in the world.
v13
You have the God-given ability to “honor all people, love the brotherhood, fear God, honor the king”.
v18-20
You have the God-given ability to endure unjust suffering.
You have favor with God when you endure unjust suffering.
v21-22
You are called to follow in the footsteps of Christ who suffered for you.
You are empowered by Jesus and his example of suffering unjustly.
You have been empowered to commit no sin nor to ever speak deceitfully.
v23
You have the power to be reviled and not return revile.
You can endure unjust suffering by the hands or mouth of others and never return a threat.
You can do these things by entrusting yourself to “Him who judges righteously”.

You have the power in Christ to die to sin and live to righteousness.
You were healed by his wounds.
v25
You used to continuously lose the way of Christ but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your soul.
You are guided by the Shepherd and Guardian of your soul.
You have the best, most caring, most loving, most powerful being in the universe as your caretaker and guardian.
