1 Peter 1:1-25
Suggested usage:
- Allow the anointing of the author’s revelation to saturate your soul as read these truths about your identity in Christ.
- Turn each truth into a personal identity statement by changing “You” to “I”.
- Identify which truth(s) you resonate with more as you read through these statements of truth.
- Write one of the truths that resonate with your heart the most on your bathroom mirror so you can see it everyday and declare it about yourself using both “you” and “I” statements.

You have been chosen by God the Father.
You have been sanctified by the Spirit.
v3
You have been born again into a living hope because God was compelled by His great mercy to save me!

God gave me a new birth into an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading.
v5
You are being protected by the power of God through faith.
v7
Your faith is genuine.
Your faith is more precious than gold.
v8
You love him.
You believe in him.
Your spirit is rejoicing with an indescribable and glorious joy.
You are receiving the outcome of my faith, the salvation of your soul.
v10-12
You have been served by the prophets who prophesied thousands of years ago.
Your God inspired the prophets to release His grace intended for you thousands of years ago.
v13
Your mind has the ability to be prepared for action.
You have the ability to discipline yourself.
You have the ability to set all of your hope on the grace that Jesus will bring you when he is revealed.
v14
As a child of God, you have been given the power to choose freedom over your former desires that you had before you received the grace of God.
v15
You have the power to be holy in all your thoughts, decisions, and actions.
Because you are God’s child, and God is holy, you, being his child, have the spiritual DNA to be holy, like him, because he is your Father.
v16
God has created you as an individual with the propensity to be holy.
v17
You have an individual calling from God.
v18-19
You were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.
v20
You are a believer in God through Jesus.
v22
You have, in obedience to the truth, purified your soul for a sincere love of the brethren.
v23
You have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God.
