The greatest advantage in history
Jesus said that is was to our “advantage” the he goes away (John 16:7). Why? Because if he didn’t go “the Helper” would not come! But, if he did go “the Helper” would come! Another way to translate “advantage” is “better”. So, Jesus’ words would read, “I tell you the truth, it is better for you that I go away… “.

When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth; for he will not speak on his own, but will speak whatever he hears, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.
1 Peter 1:20-21
First of all you must understand this, that no prophecy of scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, because no prophecy ever came by human will, but men and women moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.
John 10:14-15
I am the good shepherd, and I know My own, and My own know Me, just as the Father knows Me and I know the Father.
John 10:27
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.
What this means, aka the truth:
- God has empowered us with the ability to hear his voice
- We hear His voice
- We cultivate a proper relationship to time and fulfillment of words/encounters
- We move at the speed of life
- We approach our prophetic words and encounters from a relational perspective with God first
What this doesn’t mean, aka the lies:
- That we don’t take any initiative whatsoever
- That we never get it wrong
- When we get it wrong we’ve screwed up God’s plan for our lives forever
- All our prophetic encounters are always for ourselves
